Alloy is “definitely one of the best quartets in the country. Great musicianship, group dynamic, repertoire choices, group sound, accuracy, stage presence and presentation. Where is the line between fantasy and reality? Pastor Benjamin will highlight the redeeming characteristics of the fandom culture’s heros as we venture through lent together. Many people think of Lent as a time to give up something, such as chocolate, caffeine, or another vice. Lent is an important event in the Christian calendar. It’s the six week period leading up to Easter Sunday. The period is seen as a time of solemn observance and preparation for the celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus at Easter. Our adventure through fandom territory will highlight the hero’s use of nobility that helps them become wise, brave and prudent. When, on the contrary, the villain seeks to exploit people’s fear, anger and hatred in order to distort their search for joy and trap them into a never-ending hunger for control and revenge. We will see that the line between fantasy and reality is one that Christ Jesus sacrificed his life for. His victorious resurrection gives us joy and peace to face reality.
First Baptist Church of Seville
Music & Testimony at 7:00pm
Adam’s Road is a Christian, non-profit ministry dedicated to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song and testimony. Jesus unshackled four people and called them with the knowledge of God’s amazing grace. Adam’s Road is made up of these four individuals, whom God rescued out of Mormonism and brought into a personal and saving relationship with Jesus. Through the transforming power of the gospel, those who once were blind, lost, and dead are now trophies of God’s amazing grace. Come hear their stories.
