Good morning, Church! What a beautiful day the Lord gave us yesterday. The howling wind made me reflect with wonder upon what the followers of the risen Jesus Christ experienced on the Day of Pentecost when the room in which they were praying was filled with the SOUND of a hurricane-like wind (cf. Acts 2:2). Talk about spiritual POWER!! And isn’t that what the Lenten Season is about–experiencing the POWER of the Holy Spirit as He convicts believers of their sin through the living and powerful SOUND of God’s Word? Speaking of that, let’s consider today’s Lenten Scripture readings along with prayer: Psalm 141, 143; Exodus 9:13-35; II Corinthians 4:1-12; Mark 10:32-45. “Most forgiving Lord, again and again You welcome me back into Your loving arms. Grant me freedom from the heavy burdens of sin that weigh me down and keep me so far from You. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.” Speaking of powerful sound, I was able to share some healing words with my neighbor who had called me “antisocial.” I visited him yesterday afternoon, and was received with a friendly invite into his home. He then began to apologize for his words, and I interjected with my own apology. Together, we experienced a POWERFUL reconciliation and redeemed our neighborly relationship. Thanks for your prayers. They were SOUNDLY answered. The Lord is good; all the time!! Thanks for journeying; Blessings to all–PT.
