Good morning, Church! WOW, what a Prayer Meeting we experienced yesterday. Don’t get me wrong, every Prayer Meeting is significant; but last night’s Prayer Meeting was special. How was it so special, you say? Well, I’m glad you asked. It was special because so many of God’s people took the risk of praying “out loud.” Honestly, that doesn’t happen very often. Oh, I can count on the faithful, regular prayers; but last night it was really neat to hear so many “new” voices. If I was excited, I can only imagine how full God’s heart was to hear His people talking to Him so that others could hear and be encouraged. While we’re talking about prayer, let’s consider today’s Lenten Scripture readings and prayer, shall we? Psalm 69, 73; Exodus 1:6-22; I Corinthians 12:12-26; Mark 8:27–9:1. “Merciful Father, I know that the tiny sacrifices I make this Lent can never serve as a real repentance in my life. But help me to make my whole life one of following Your Son. I am filled with Your love. Let Your love shine out from within me and guide my life in this sacred journey toward the Easter joy You offer me. In Jesus’ shining name I pray. Amen.” Keep talking, er; praying, folks. Remember–God loves to hear your voice; and so do I. Thanks for journeying; Blessings to all–PT.
