Good morning, Church! Sharon and I watched “War Room” last night. Oh my! Christian movies certainly have improved since we started watching them as young Christians back in the late 1970’s. Yes, I know that the message has always been the same; however, the quality of acting and producing, and the “believability” of the life struggles are SO much better. Anyway, we were reminded and challenged about the power of prayer and the victory that belongs to God’s people when they pray. So–I’m going to present the Lenten prayer first this morning, and then present the Scripture readings: “God of Mercy and Understanding, I know that with help I can open my heart more fully to the mysteries of the suffering and death of Your Son. Help me to be humble in this journey and remember that any mercy and compassion I feel is a gift from You. I await the joy of Easter with new longing and patience. In Jesus’ overcoming name I pray. Amen.” Psalm 87, 90; Genesis 47:27-48:7; I Corinthians 10:1-13; Mark 7:1-23. Enjoy your Saturday, and remember; Sunday is a comin’. Thanks for journeying; Blessings to all–PT.
