Good morning, Church! I’m sure you realize what a special day this is, Right?! It’s so special that it happens only once every 4 years. In fact, it’s so special that we decided to use a new Lenten picture! It’s so special that many people wish their birthday was on this day; and it’s soo special many frugal (I’m being nice) husbands wish that their anniversary was on this day 🙂 Well, I’m particularly thankful for an “extra” day this year because it affords followers of Jesus Christ an extra 24 hours to love the Lord their God, their neighbor, and one another. I pray that today’s Scripture readings and Lenten prayer will encourage your hearts to do just that: Psalm 79, 80; Genesis 44:18-34; I Corinthians 7:25-31; Mark 5:21-43. “Merciful God, Free Your Church from the sins of this world and protect us from evil we see and the evil we prefer to ignore. We need Your guidance, Lord, for we cannot do this alone. Only with Your help can we be saved. Thank You for Your desire to save us and love us. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.” Do something special on this special day–demonstrate genuine love to others so they may “see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). Thanks for journeying; Blessings to all–PT.
