Good morning, Church. Are you prepared for the radical transition from rain to snow that is scheduled for tonight and tomorrow? This winter’s weather has been as volatile as the Stock Market and my emotional state as I move closer to retirement. What a WILD RIDE!! The terms “prepared” and “volatile” are reminders of what the Lenten season is all about. Lent is a prolonged spiritual season of preparation for the volatility that accompanied the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. So, let’s continue our Lenten journey by partnering together with today’s Scripture readings and prayer: Psalm 72; 119:73-96; Genesis 42:18-28; I Corinthians 5:6–6:8; Mark 4:1-20. “God of Love, through this Lenten journey, purify my desires to serve You. Free me from any temptations to judge others, to place myself above others. Please let me surrender even my impatience with others, that with Your love and Your grace, I might be less and less absorbed with myself, and more and more full of the desire to follow You, in laying down my life according to Your example. In Jesus’ holy and sacrificial name I pray. Amen.” Thanks for journeying; Blessings to all–PT.
