Good morning, Church! Based upon the weather forecast, it is time to get out the shorts, go outside and tether yourself to the nearest stationary object with a firm foundation, or get in your automobile and open the car windows (or put the top down 🙂 ) and pray that you’re not blown off of the road. Yeah, it’s going to be warm and WINDY. WHHOOOSSSSHHHH!!!!! Speaking of “firm foundation” and “wind,” my heart and mind are drawn towards God’ Word (“How Firm A Foundation”) and His Holy Spirit’s ministry in prayer (Romans 8:26-27). Ahah; you know what’s coming, don’t you?! That’s right, today’s Lenten Scripture readings are: Psalms 51, 54; Genesis 40:1-23; I Corinthians 3:16-23; Mark 2:13-22. Today’s Lenten prayer is: “Creator of my Life, renew me: bring me to new life in You. Touch me and make me feel whole again. Help me to see Your love in the passion, death and resurrection of Your son. Help me to observe Lent in a way that allows me to celebrate that love. Prepare me for these weeks of Lent as I feel both deep sorrow for my sins and Your undying love for me. In Jesus’ loving name, we pray. Amen.” The journey continues, and I am so thankful that you have decided to join with us. May I ask how you are doing with your Lenten decisions of self-sacrifice? Yes, I know; our salvation is free and secure. Our self-sacrificial decisions, though, help draw us closer to that “firm foundation” of God’s Word and His Holy Spirit’s ministry in prayer. Do you want to know a secret? They really do!!!! Thanks for journeying; and Blessings to all–PT.
