Lent, Day 4: Saturday, February 13, 2016

Good morning, Church ! WOW! That forecast for a 15-minute, 1-inch snow squall sure did last longer and dropped so much more “white stuff.” Welcome to winter, NorthEast Ohio. Hopefully, our Lenten devotions will provide you with some warm encouragement. The Bible readings for today are: Psalm 42-43; Ezekiel 39:21-19; Philippians 4:10-20; and John 17:20-26. Our Lenten prayer for today is: “Loving Creator, I am not asking to overcome my weakness, but to use it in some way to glorify You. Let me be aware of the many ways You reach out to help me today, and let me stand in awe of the power that You use in such loving ways. In Jesus’ loving and powerful name, I pray. Amen.” The Creator certainly demonstrated His power last night, didn’t He! I probably should have sung the chorus, “I love You, Lord; and I lift my voice, uh-er, snow shovel.” 🙂 Seriously, stay safe and warm today, this evening, and tomorrow!! You are worth it! Thanks for journeying, and Blessings to all–PT.
